She shares her top tips on fun snack ideas to try with your children at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spring is in the air! With a change in seasons comes a natural tendency to shift from warm, comforting foods to lighter, refreshing meals and drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smoothies are a fantastic idea as we transition into summer and one that toddlers and kids quickly associate as being similar to a milkshake. A nutrient-dense dose of fruit or vegetables added to the milk of choice is the perfect way to include a quick breakfast on the run or afternoon spring snack. Smoothies are also the perfect solution for picky eaters ensuring a full belly without sacrificing health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here are 3 smoothie recipes that are full to the brim of goodness, nutrient-dense with heaps of fibre, energy and antioxidants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are some simple steps to follow for each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place all ingredients in a blender, adding a couple of handfuls of ice if desired and blend until smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour into individual cups of 150ml each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And enjoy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strawberry Dream Smoothie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pink Smoothie, ladybug smoothie, call it what you will \u2013 but this will be a firm favourite come summertime!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Serves 4<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>600ml milk of choice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon honey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>200gm frozen strawberries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 whole banana, peeled and chopped \u2013 frozen is preferable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp vanilla essence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choc Banana Smoothie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Who doesn\u2019t like chocolate? This smoothie is just like a chocolate milkshake, only healthy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Serves 4<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>600ml milk of choice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoon rolled oat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp cocoa powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 whole bananas, peeled and chopped \u2013 frozen is preferable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoons of honey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My First Green Smoothie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Anything \u2018green\u2019 can be a hard sell to children, but through exposure, it is also a great way to unravel this belief into something they learn to enjoy.
